There is life after golf! There's just loads to do.
We have some of Scotland's oldest and best golf courses. We always suggest Links with History as they are some of the oldest and we think the best courses in Balcomie, Lundin Links, Scotscraig and Ladybank
Fife Coastal walks
We have formal and informal walks all over this area, never forget for those who are serious walk
ers the world famous chain walk around the East Neuk. In the main the Fife Coastal Path will spoil most. It will spoil you with game, seals, maybe otters even if you are quiet.
Sightseeing and shopping
Why not leave the car and walk arround St Andrews. Start at the university museum in the Gateway
centre and then move on to the R&A building with its golf museum right behind it. Up the hill to the sealife centre and seal sanctury and on to the castle and Cathedral. Whilst walking you will pass the wonderful quads of the University, they don't mind if you have a little look in. For shopping go to Market street but first go to Johnson's for Cashmere, or visit Ness for some fun in Market Street, they do all Scottish but not tacky! Water sports
Wind surfing off the wonderful blue badge beaches that surround St Andrews and have been used
in many films including the opening sequence in "Chariots of Fire". But its not just about the beauty, for those sand castle specialists we have more sand than you can move! (dogs not allowed on the close end of beach to town during the summer) . We can offer you Fife water sports - well what can't these guys offer you!! take a look
Highland Safari
Walking, there is so much variation, from the chain walk to cosy forest ambles, they are all stunning. then
for those who just love wild life or who have never seen it before this is a real treat Highland safaris. it will take you 1.5 hours to get to this organisation but it can be built into a day of amazing sight seeing and is a real must for all ages. (word of warning- you can get cold and knocked about a bit going up the mountails so take warm clothing and some padding)
Castle Bagging

e Palace, Glamis Castle and a little further afield why not try Stirling Castle and Edinburgh Castle. Why not try a modern Castle - not 5 miles from the Inn we have the old Scottish Governments' Bunker built after the 2nd World War to house over 300 people during a nuclear war. Hunting, shooting and fishing
Two beautiful local estates that host a range of fishing, hunting & shooting (both rough and organised 
days). The two estates are great for fishing, more formal shooting and general field sports. Andy at Safari in Scotland is what I would call a real experience as he should be a Ghillie, but his estate is Scotland and what ever you what to shoot (without the formality of formal shoots) or if you are starting off and don't want to make a fool of your self 1st time out then Andy is your man. I have had very serious shots to beginners stay with me here at the inn and everyone has raved about Andy and how good he is.
Skydiving weekend at the Inn
I have never understood why anyone likes jumping out of a perfectly good plane at 10,000 ft? Then a friend of ours did it to show she was as young as ever and I watched her video. Well what a laugh we all had, she was just brilliant and now has this great CD to show off to the world when ever she is down or just wants to show off! and why should'nt she.
